Sports Talk Raw has been working with Global Sports Streaming since June of 2023. The Boys (Chrome, Unc, Manni, JCash, and Trizmo) of Sports Talk Raw wanted to expand their brand and increase the number of shows they were doing so GSS and STR joined forces to make that happen. Given the Boy’s schedules, remote streaming was the direction we decided to go to accomplish their goals. Remote streaming allowed all the guys to get on from their homes or on their phones when they are out and about and participate in each broadcast.
The technology development in live streaming has jumped leaps and bounds from where it was ten years ago. New companies have developed new services and reduced costs for content creators in the space. Older companies in the space have developed new partnerships and worked on developing better streaming services combined with new developers like Stream Yard, which have leveled the playing field for content creators. With a cell phone or a laptop, creators can now stream to the world. Multipoint streaming allows users to distribute to multiple platforms bi-directionally. One key need is the ability to communicate with all platforms from a single location which now is a standard with content streaming platforms. After working with the guys for a few shows and taking a look at their style and what they want to achieve we went with Stream Yard as their streaming platform. There are so many platforms to pick from we will always keep an eye out to see if there is something better that matches their particular needs.
As the build up to Super Bowl 58 came into Monday of game week we decided to do five days of livestreaming from Monday February 5th to Friday February 9th. Each night they had a different topic.

The guys set out to drive more traffic attaching their content to the biggest sporting event of the year. They were able to drive 12% more traffic to their shows versus the previous week. They went from about 2-3 hours of content on a normal week to 5-6 hours of content and were able to see growth from the additional live streams.
It was a great show of effort from STR Boys in an effort to grow their reach and fanbase. They are definitely looking for more viewership and would love your support.

The word has certainly gotten out. The upcoming clash of the 58-year-old Julio Cesar Chavez (107-6-2, 85 KOs) of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico by way of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico accepting the challenge of the revenge-minded 42-year-old Hector “Machito” Camacho Jr. (59-7-1, 33 KOs) from New York, New York by way of San Juan, Puerto Rico is now set in stone for Saturday, June 21, 2021, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
It’s for sure many a comparison will be made between the patriarchs and their offspring, those boxers with Mexican and Puerto Rican ancestry. It’s the same way the soccer fan raves about having the best soccer team be they from Brazil, Germany or Argentina. A devout Boxing fan recognizes how foolhardy it is to compare Julio Cesar Chavez and his record to most any other boxer. His accomplishments will no doubt stand the test of time.
Still, that reality can’t stop some diehards from doing their own overview of the boxers with Mexican or Puerto Rican blood. Throughout our overview, you have to remember that different times bred different results. While some boxers came off the streets, others had the very best of training from an early age or received the proper guidance through a concerned parent.
On the night of September 12, 1992, when Hector “Macho” Camacho and Julio Cesar Chavez battled it out for the WBC World Super Lightweight title it was the Macho Man who got the rare beating.
Since his father’s unfortunate passing on November 24, 2012, Hector “Machito” Camacho Jr. has taken over the reins of the family and represented his family in the squared circle.
From here down we’re going to attempt to give you the best possible overview of Hector Camacho Jr.’s career up to this point.
October 23, 1998, at the Trump Marina Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, the 20-year-old Hector Camacho Jr. (17-0, 10 KOs) won a unanimous decision victory, 96-92, 96-93, 95-93 over Freddy Curiel (14-3-1, 5 KOs).
December 3, 1998, Casino Magic, Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, the 142 lb., 20-year-old Hector Camacho Jr. (18-0, 10 KOs) won a 10 round mixed decision win over Wayne Boudreaux (24-13, 13 KOs) in a Super Lightweight contest.
May 8, 1999, Miccosukee Indian Gaming Resort, Miami, Florida the 20-year-old welterweight Hector Camacho Jr. stopped the 30-year-old Roberto Nunez (15-3, 14 KOs) in the first round.
After Nunez in May of 1999, Camacho Jr. went on to defeat such notables as Miguel Angel Ruiz (21-5-1), Simon Gonzalez (25-8-2), Juan Carlos Rodriguez (36-12-2), Harold Warren (43-11), Manard Reed (20-1), Phillip Holiday (36-3-1), Joe Hutchinson (18-1-2), Rocky Martinez (34-4-1) and Larry LaCoursiere (26-8) to improve his record to 32-0, 18 KOs.
July 7, 2001, at Key Span Park, Brooklyn, New York, the 22-year-old super lightweight Hector Camacho Jr., now 32-0, 18 KOs was up 49-46, 48-47, and 49-46 after 5 rounds versus the well respected Jesse James “the Texas Tornado” Leija (42-5-2) when the bout was suddenly stopped due to a head-butt. At first, Camacho Jr. received the Technical decision win which a few days later changed to a “No Contest”. Was it time to hire a lawyer?
This may have been the turning point in Camacho Jr.’s career as things started slowing down. He did fight in November, a TKO win over Eric Jakubowski (21-8) but for this fight he weighed in at 152 lbs. He was now creeping ever so close to becoming a Middleweight (154-160).
On Thursday, March 21, 2002, at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona, Hector Camacho Jr., at the age of 23 and weighing 147 lbs., lost his first fight, a 94-95, 94-96 and 93-96 decision loss to the visitor from Buenos Aires, Argentina, a 5’7″ tall, 141 pounder, Omar “Tito” Weis who with the win moved up to (34-3-3, 16 KOs).

Over the years we’ve seen quite a few of these boxing standouts infiltrate the U. S. and oftentimes they do well because their opponent is often hand-picked. How so? Since it is an expensive proposition, the airfare, the hotel/motel stay, the hiring of a top trainer, and the proposition they worked out with the obliging promoter, a certain victory is called for. In other words, someone has to have a lot of confidence in their prospect. When it comes to Buenos Aires, Argentina, the names Marcos René Maidana, Sergio Martinez and Lucas Martín Matthysse come to mine. Like Mr. Weis, they came, they saw and they conquered. We are back for our first fight night of 2020 with Borizteca Boxing Promotions. We are broadcasting on Fight Hub TV on Youtube. We have a great partnership with Fight Hub and we are able to showcase fighters just starting out in their careers to over 750,000 subscribers. Our February 28th show starts at 7:30 PM PST live from Big Punch Arena in Tijuana, Mexico. We have a great first card of the year with the return of Kevin Torres in our main event. Kevin takes on veteran fighter Carlos Urrea. At 15-1-1 Kevin Torress is getting to the point where he needs to test his skill level to prepare for the tough fights ahead. Carlos has fought 38 times and is known as a tough fighter that gives a good fight and helps with the development of fighters on the rise.

Global Sports Streaming always looks for ways to expose athletes to a larger audience. We created this podcast as a way of doing that for our athletes. Since day one we’ve been about bringing exposure for athletes that are overlooked by the networks, promoters and sports organizations. This is one more step in that direction.

Courtney Perna is a Lifestyle Television Host (who recently took home an Emmy Award for Best On-Camera Talent for my role on “Las Vegas NOW.” Yay!)Besides being a Journalist, she is also a Producer with vast experience both in front of and behind the camera, plus proven Social Media Marketing skills. Before her TV Host position on Las Vegas NOW at KLAS, hosted the “The Morning Blend” on WFTX in Fort Myers, FL, and I was a Feature Reporter / Producer/ Fill-in Host in Houston (DMA 8) on “Great Day Houston” (morning talk show on KHOU 11).
In this episode, Courtney sits down with Champion boxer Diego Magdaleno and talks about family life, two other professional boxers in the family, life after Top Rank and his upcoming fight. Courtney, also talks with founder of Global Sports Streaming Armando Bareno about the difficulties in building a startup and what drives him to make GSS a success.
What’s next?
GSS Presents will be a monthly podcast with fighters from our show Best in Boxing and recognizable faces in boxing. GSS, through hard work and a passion for sports is creating a family of athletes and fans who can gather around common interests. Although we are new in the broadcasting game we have a lot of followers coming together to enjoy sports and engage with each other. Through shows like our new podcast we are growing that fanbase at the same time connecting more athletes to that fanbase.

Borizteca Boxing Promotions, our partner in SoCal, is moving from Tijuana, Mexico to San Diego, CA. Borizteca has partnered up with Bobby D. Promotions and House of Boxing to put together a great fight card. They’ve also partnered up with Team Canelo Alvarez who will be adding two fighters to the card.
The fight card has a few Best in Boxing veterans on the card. Fighters Kevin Torres, Ricardo Valdovinos, Adrian Gutierrez, Giovannie Gonzalez, and Jorge Marron Jr. have all fought on Best in Boxing. Kevin Torres and Ricardo Valdovinos with over 15 fights combined on Best in Boxing between them. All of them keep making the show because they are all action fighters and always entertain the fans.
Potential Fight of the Night honors will more than likely go to Ricardo Valdovinos vs Giovannie Gonzalez. Ricardo and 7-0-1 and Giovannie at 9-3 will be in each others faces all night long. We are really looking forward to this fight as well as our broadcast team. On the broadcast team we have Marcos Villegas, Chris Martin and Kevin Ottley. Roberto Meza at 12 and 1 is looking to take a step up in competition. Before this fight was put together his team approached Borizteca Boxing Promoter Saul Rios asking for a step up in competition. They took a look at Angel Viedas https://youtu.be/wUvt-Y2iMHs who fought on Best in Boxing on February 15 Fight Night Friday card. They liked what they saw and believed they could beat Angel. The fight got done a couple of weeks later and now Roberto will be facing the veteran who has a great record of 23-9-1. At 31 Angel is looking to make some moves himself and beat this up and coming prospect. Angel looked sharp in his last fight and does not plan on being a stepping stone to Roberto.
Best in Boxing has brought back Five time World Champion Carina Moreno. Her fight against Cinthia Martinez will be her second fight in her comeback after her five-year retirement. She never lost the hunger to fight and never stopped training, even after retirement. She is looking to make another run at a title and is excited about the reason exposure female boxers are receiving in the US. She hopes to make some big paydays on the way to another title.
We have some heavyweight action on the card with Big George Thompson. George approached Founder and President of Global Sports Streaming, Armando Bareno, and asked if he’d give George the opportunity to fight. George’s record is 2 wins and 3 losses and he is 42 years old. Most promoters wouldn’t touch George because of his age, record and he’s a 250-pound southpaw. Mr.Bareno, always looking to give fighters an opportunity talked with Saul Rios (Borizteca) about finding him an opponent in Mexico to fight. It took over a year and a half to find a slot on a card and now finally George is getting his opportunity to fight. “Best in Boxing was started to help fighters just like George when other outlets won’t give fighters like him a chance.” George is certainly looking to make the most of his opportunity.

Jorge “Tito” Ruiz is looking to get his career back on track after taking some time off from the sport. Tito had to take some time off after a lung infection wouldn’t allow his body to compete at a professional level. He is back training and ready to get back to his winning ways.
